FAQs

What kind of retreats does Alta Mova organize?

We create small-group retreats in the Alps that combine movement, nature, and rest. Expect a mix of yoga, trail running, hiking, biking, and Pilates — along with great food, fresh air, and time to breathe. It's not about pushing hard or chasing performance, but reconnecting with yourself in nature.

Who are these retreats for?

For active, curious people who value presence over pressure. Whether you’re deep into fitness or simply love being outside and moving, you’re welcome here. Most guests are in their late 20s to 40s, but it’s more about mindset than age.

Do I need to be super fit to join?

Not at all. We design each retreat with flexibility in mind. You should enjoy moving your body — but you don’t need to be an athlete. Activities are guided, optional, and adaptable to your level.

What’s included in an Alta Mova retreat?

While details vary by location, most retreats include:

  • 4–6 days of guided movement and outdoor activities

  • Yoga/Pilates sessions

  • High-quality plant-based meals (breakfast and dinner)

  • Accommodation at hand-picked, luxury mountain hotels

  • Time to rest, reset, and connect with others

What’s not included:
Transport to and from the retreat location, personal travel insurance and any additional excursions, services or meals not listed in the retreat schedule.

How many people usually join?

Retreats are intentionally small — usually between 15 and 25 people. That way, we can keep things personal, flexible, and real.

What makes Alta Mova different from other retreats?

Alta Mova isn’t about perfection or performance — it’s about real connection through movement and mountains. We keep the vibe honest, grounded, and thoughtful. No pressure. Just space to move, feel, and be.

Can I join solo?
