Alpine Embrace 2026

Wednesday, May 13 to Sunday, May 17 2026

Hopfgarten Markt in Tyrol, Austria

5 days / 4 nights at Das Hohe Salve

We created this retreat for anyone craving space — to move, to breathe, and to reconnect with themselves.
A week in the mountains where life feels simpler, slower, and more meaningful.

I want to be there!

Why This Retreat Exists

Why This Retreat Exists

In a world that rewards speed, we created Alta Mova to celebrate something different: presence.

This retreat exists because so many of us live in constant motion without ever truly moving — mentally, emotionally, or physically.
The Austrian Alps offer a rare kind of quiet, the kind that helps you hear yourself again.

For five days, you’ll explore mindful movement, trail adventures, deep rest, and the simple joy of being surrounded by nature and good people.

What you can expect

  • Daily movement sessions - yoga, pilates, mountain walks or somatic sessions. All catered to you and your needs.

  • Nourishing meals at our venue from local produce, dialed also towards different dietary preferences.

  • Time for stillness, journaling, reflection. Our schedule will be active - but you set your own pace. You decide yourself what sessions to join. You can always take time for yourself or enjoy the venue’s wonderful spa.

  • A small, warm community of like-minded people. Our retreats are small. We value connection over scale. We’re not promising you’ll find your new best friends here, but anything can happen!

  • A luxury mountain hotel with spa access, gym and swimming pool. We’ve been looking for a venue that fits our values for a long time. Then we found Das Hohe Salve.

  • A schedule designed around balance - not burnout. This retreat is about you and what works for you.

Daily Schedule

Day 0 - Wednesday

On Wednesday, we all take our time to arrive, in all senses of the word. There is no plan for this day. Depending on when you arrive, you might decide to meet others in the group or relax in the spa.

Up to you.

Day 1 - Thursday

On Thursday we start the morning slowly with a nourishing alpine breakfast at the hotel, giving you plenty of time to ease into the day.

At 10:00 AM, we gather outdoors for a gentle group warm-up and stretch before choosing your adventure:

Option 1 – eMTB Ride
Explore the surrounding trails on an e-mountain bike, taking in wide-open views and flowing terrain.

Option 2 – Easy Run
A relaxed, scenic run through meadows and forest paths — suitable for every pace, guided by our beloved Cory.

Both groups reconnect at 12:30 PM for a well-earned lunch at a cozy mountain Hütte, surrounded by panoramic alpine views.

In the afternoon, we return to the hotel for a grounding Pilates/Yoga session at 4:00 PM, designed to restore the body after the morning’s movement.

Dinner is served at the hotel at 7:00 PM, followed by a peaceful late-night spa session — sauna, swimming, or simply unwinding in silence as the mountains settle into dusk.

A full day of movement, nature, and calm — exactly what Alta Mova is about.

Day 2 - Friday

A day to explore higher ground — at your own pace

We begin with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel from 7:00–8:30 AM, fueling up for a beautiful day in the mountains.

At 9:00 AM, choose the adventure that speaks most to you:

Option 1 – Schafsiedel Hike

A stunning alpine route with three lakes, panoramic ridgelines, and the summit of Schafsiedel (17 km, 1,300 ascent, with options to shorten).
Expect spacious views, varied terrain, and a steady, rewarding climb.
On the descent, we stop for lunch at the Neue Bamberger Hütte
(lunch not included, but we’ll reserve tables for the group).

Your guide for this mountain hike: Marcell

Option 2 – Trail Run + Technique Session

A flowing trail run designed for all levels, paired with a focused running technique workshop led by our coach, Cory.
You’ll learn efficient form, pacing, and mindful running habits — all while exploring the alpine landscape.

Once everyone arrives back at the hotel, the afternoon is dedicated to wellness and rest:
sauna, spa, naps, journaling, or simply watching the mountains shift in the afternoon light.

We end the day with dinner at the hotel at 7:00 PM, sharing stories from the trails and settling into a slower evening rhythm.

A full, expansive day in the Alps — with space to challenge yourself or take it gently.

Day 3 - Saturday

A day for reflection, alignment, and deeper connection

We begin the morning with a nourishing breakfast from 7:00–8:30 AM, easing into a slower rhythm before shifting inward.

At 10:00 AM, we gather for a powerful, heart-opening session:

Longevity & Authentic Living Workshop

with Estee Lantos

This workshop explores how the way we live — the roles we play, the expectations we carry, and the boundaries we hold — directly shapes our healthspan, lifespan, and overall wellbeing.
Inspired by the teachings of Dr. Gabor Maté, we look at the behavioural patterns that often lead to chronic stress:

  • Putting others’ needs before our own

  • Feeling overly responsible or unable to let go

  • Suppressing healthy anger or emotional truth

  • Living under self-limiting beliefs (“I must not disappoint anyone”)

Through guided reflection, journaling, and discussion, participants explore where their current life aligns with their deeper values — and where gentle, meaningful change may be needed to create a life that feels authentic and expansive.

Somatic Integration: TRE Practice

To support this inner work, Estee will guide a TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) session, helping the body release stored stress, build inner safety, and strengthen the capacity to act on aligned change.
Expect grounding, calm, and a renewed sense of presence.

In the afternoon, we return to movement with a soft Pilates/Yoga session focused on stretching, restoring, and reconnecting to the body after the morning’s deep exploration.

Dinner is served at the hotel in the evening, followed by a gentle closing celebration.
We may head out together for a Fackelwanderung (torch-lit walk) or gather around a bonfire with drinks — the exact activity is still being finalised, but the intention is clear:

To honor the days we’ve shared, the mountains we’ve explored, and the connections we’ve built.

A day of inner clarity and outer calm — one that lingers long after the retreat ends.

Day 4 - Sunday

On Sunday we say goodbye to our venue and each other after a fulfilling breakfast.

Your Coaches and Guides

Your Coaches and Guides

Cory (Corinna) is a movement enthusiast through and through. Growing up just south of Vienna, she spent every free minute outdoors — running, playing, exploring — and eventually attended a sports-focused school where her love for movement only deepened.

Over the years, she explored a wide range of disciplines — from tennis and cheerleading to dance and running — always drawn to the energy and joy that come from moving the body. During her school years, she took part in group fitness classes several times a week and quickly realised: “I want to do this too — I want to teach.”

Marcell spent nearly a decade in high-pressure leadership roles in finance, helping organisations grow, navigate complexity, and build strong teams. He enjoyed the challenge — but over time, he felt something fundamental was missing: space for movement, nature, and a life with more presence.

Despite a successful corporate career, the moments that grounded him most weren’t in meeting rooms or strategy decks, but outdoors — running, hiking, climbing, or simply breathing alpine air. He realised that many others in similar careers felt the same: accomplished on paper, but yearning for reconnection and clarity.

Alta Mova was born from that realisation.

Bringing together his experience in building structured, thoughtful experiences and his lifelong love of the mountains, Marcell created Alta Mova as a place for people to reset. A retreat designed for movement, calm, and meaningful connection — far from deadlines, close to nature.

Estee helps people reconnect with their bodies to improve health, resilience, and longevity. Combining neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, TRE®, and trauma-informed somatic practices, she guides individuals to the root causes of chronic stress and supports them in building a more flexible, regulated nervous system.

Her work is shaped by her own experience with a stress-induced autoimmune diagnosis — a turning point that revealed the impact of unresolved stress and CPTSD. Through holistic and science-based tools, she transformed her wellbeing, and now helps others do the same.

With over a decade of corporate leadership experience at Accenture and KPMG, Estee deeply understands the pressures high achievers face. Since completing her TRE® practitioner training in 2023, she has been supporting individuals and groups in releasing old patterns and creating more aligned, healthy lives.

And now the organizational details.
